Inventive Spirit
What began as a small repair workshop for welding equipment quickly developed into a place of practical in-house inventions, thanks to the craftsmanship and ideas of trained metalworker Hans Greggersen.
In 1928, his ingenuity gave rise to the oxy-fuel hole cutting machine – a clever design that not only gained regional acclaim, but also met with great interest internationally. The machine was patented and manufactured under licence in many countries in subsequent years.Â
To this day, the story of Hans Greggersen reminds us of how much a single person can achieve with talent, drive, and creativity, and how an idea can become the foundation for an entire company.
The second generation
Karl-Heinz Greggersen supported the family business early on and, after his training as a precision mechanic, brought fresh energy and craftsmanship to the company from 1949 onwards.
In 1958, following the unexpected loss of his father, Karl-Heinz and his wife Anni took over responsibility for Greggersen. Despite economically challenging times and a young family, they mastered this phase together. Anni was not only a reliable support, but also significantly shaped the continued existence of the company through her dedication and determination.Â
Through their solidarity, Karl-Heinz and Anni laid the foundation for the successful further development of the family business for future generations.
The Third Generation
Since the 1990s, the third generation with Thomas and Wolfgang Greggersen has led the company into a phase of steady growth and diverse further development.
With a clear understanding of global markets and a sense for contemporary developments, together with a strong team, they have helped establish Greggersen as a brand with international recognition.Â
To this day, the third generation shapes the company through a balanced combination of a sense of tradition and forward-looking thinking. The ability to adapt flexibly to changing market conditions has repeatedly enabled us as a company to provide new momentum and actively shape our industry.
The Fourth Generation
Constantin, the eldest son of Thomas Greggersen, also followed the family call in 2012 and joined the company as the fourth generation.
Since then, his expertise as a qualified master precision mechanic has enriched the development of our products, introducing fresh momentum and innovative approaches – always with the commitment to ensuring and advancing the high quality of our work.Â
Together with a dedicated team of long-standing employees, Constantin actively contributes to the further development of the company. This atmosphere of mutual trust fosters a collaborative partnership where diverse perspectives converge to shape the future of our company together.
