Greggersen Heritage
Family business since 1924
Spirit of invention
What began as a small repair shop for welding equipment quickly evolved into a place for practical inventions, thanks to the craftsmanship and ideas of skilled locksmith Hans Greggersen.
In 1928, his ingenuity led to the Autogenous Hole-Cutting Machine – a clever design that gained not only regional recognition but also significant international interest. The machine was patented and manufactured under licence in many countries in subsequent years.
The story of Hans Greggersen continues to remind us how much a single person can achieve with talent, drive and creativity, and how an idea can become the foundation for an entire company.
"The second generation "
Karl-Heinz Greggersen supported his parents' business from an early age and, after training as a precision mechanic, brought fresh energy and craftsmanship to the company from 1949.
In 1958, Karl-Heinz and his wife Anni took over responsibility for Greggersen following the unexpected loss of his father. Despite economically difficult times and a young family, they mastered this phase together. Anni was not only a reliable support but, with her commitment and determination, significantly shaped the continued existence of the company.
Through their solidarity, Karl-Heinz and Anni laid the foundation for the successful further development of the family business for future generations.
The third generation
Since the 1990s, the third generation with Thomas and Wolfgang Greggersen has led the company into a phase of steady growth and diverse further development.
With a clear understanding of global markets and a sense for contemporary developments, they have worked with a strong team to help Greggersen become a brand with international recognition.
To this day, the third generation shapes Company through a balanced combination of traditional awareness and future-oriented thinking. The ability to adapt flexibly to changing market conditions has repeatedly enabled us as Company to provide new impulses and actively shape our industry.
The fourth generation
In 2012, Constantin, the eldest son of Thomas Greggersen, also followed the family calling and joined the company as the fourth generation.
His expertise as a master precision mechanic has since enriched the development of our products, bringing new impulses and innovative approaches, always with the aim of ensuring and further developing the high quality of our work.
Together with a dedicated circle of long-standing employees, Constantin actively contributes to the further development of the company. This atmosphere of mutual trust creates a collaborative partnership where diverse perspectives converge to shape the future of our firm together.
